Russell & Frida’s Wedding

On the 28th of April we gained a new daughter when our youngest son Russell married Frida Kashe. This was a truly joyous event. Our two eldest sons John and Jason along with their wives, the Melissas, and our grandson Kyle were also in Tanzania for the wedding.

Two of our daughters were able to be in the wedding party, Caroline and Esther. Faraja was able to come home from boarding school to also be in attendance.

Russell and Frida are living about a 5 minute walk from our compound. Russ has been busy building shelves and modifying their compound to fit their needs.

Congregational Growth

March, April and May we saw a tremendous increase in salvations during our Sunday morning services. During these three months we had a total of 66 people who made Jesus their Lord and Savior.

The interesting thing about this is I have been teaching a series on “Inner Excellence.” This is not your normal salvation type of sermon series. But somehow it has struck a cord in the hearts of those who came and the anointing did the rest.

Benevolence Projects

In the month of March Heritage Of Faith Christian Center & RAW Missions teamed up to install a fence and gate at the Norah Orphanage in the Mwakamira area east of Arusha.

Happy & Safe

The Norah orphanage was begun by a retired teacher who discovered a small baby left on her doorstep during the night. She now has 14 children that she cares for and teaches. During our first visit we saw one 2 year old who can write her name and do simple math on a blackboard. These children will be getting a very real head start in life.

During the months of April and May HFCC with the help of Raw Missions was able to have a well dug at the Mama Jane Orphanage & Widows Training Center in Ngaramtoni, just north of Arusha.
